Marilyn Travis
I'm a sophomore from Pasadena currently undeclared and loving it. A few things you should probably know about me, I can get loud (you've been fairly warned), I love to play basketball, and I love people with good taste, particularly in music. But more importantly, last year I got involved with IV and life has only gotten sweeter. When you have a dedicated community who prays for you and checks up on you it's hard not to feel blessed. Filled with genuine people, there's never a dull moment when you step into a room full of IV-ers. I'm tremendously excited to be leading LaFe this year and am looking forward to the ways that God will challenge, grow, and encourage us as followers of Christ. Come join us! Taste and see His goodness!
Austin Killin
Yes, my last name is real. I'm a sophomore from a farm in scenic Middle-of-Nowhere, Colorado, and I like music (specifically classic rock and 80's trucker rap), cheesy jokes/puns, sports, history, and having fun in basically any manner, no matter how goofy. IV has been nothing short of amazing, not only as a great, supportive, fun loving family, but also as somewhere where my faith has grown immensely, even in the face of all the challenges college has to offer. InterVarsity has shown me the importance of Christian community in a way I'd never seen before and has shown me the love of Christ firsthand. I'm super excited to see what this year has to offer!
Cameron Jeffers
I'm a senior in Linguistics, and I like hanging out, lame jokes, and being outside. I also like books, computers, movies, football, and talking about any or all of them. The IV community has become my brothers and sisters, and has been teaching me how to love and live like Christ. I'm excited to lead a small group because I've seen how God has changed me in college, and I want to see his kingdom move forward in others too. This is my second year leading small group, and I'm looking forward to welcoming a whole new group of people into a community that has been so good to me.
Colton Plaza
I'm a sophomore from Madison, Alabama majoring in HumBio and concentrating in neuroscience. I'm entirely too competitive for my own good, I love playing music, and I can't help but instantly think of obscure movie quotes that come up as relevant in conversations. And I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks. My hope is that IV can help all students on campus realize God's love for them. Through this great community of believers seeking Jesus, I've been strengthened in my own faith and now I'm even more motivated to spread the Good News!
Alyssa Lorenzo
IV's diverse community of Christians has been a great resource for me in maintaining and deepening my walk with Christ as I've been able to discuss and learn about more aspects of our faith as we all aim to live it out to the best of our abilities in each of our respective fields.
I'm from Texas and absolutely love steaks, so none of my vegetarian friends will ever convert me, try as hard as they might. Human-sized gerbil balls were on campus last year and I missed them, but if they come this year, I'll be the first in line; I love childish fun and new adventures.
Danielle Simms
Hiii! I'm a senior this year...woot woot. I've lived in Pennsylvania, Louisiana, Indiana, Georgia, and Ohio. I love talking about all of these places andddd God, faith, movies, music, sports, books, politics--anything really!
This year in InterVarsity I'm looking forward to growing in my relationship with God and the people around me. IVCF is one of the most supportive communities at Stanford and I'm excited about the love that we will get to show you!
Christina Wang
I can (and have) live(d) on several months eating oatmeal (+ other things) for all 3 meals. along with Silk Soymilk (the original or the organic kind, red and green colored, respectively)
I'm excited to build a close-knit network that can have FUN (and serious, movie-worthy friends forever-esque) times exploring Jesus and His impact on our lives.
Carson Kautz
I'm a sophomore, maybe majoring in Human Biology, maybe not, maybe I'll major in horseback riding or eating or running because I do a whole lot of all those things.
InterVarsity has not only given me a Christian home on campus, it's given me a lot of lifelong friends who encourage me to grow in my faith every day. I'm way excited to be LEADING IN STERN WHOOOO and to see what next year brings!
Desmond Lim
Hi everyone! My name is Desmond and I love kids, teaching and travelling, though not always in that order! =)) Hit me up if there's somewhere you'd like to go... the more exotic the better!
Leading a SG offers me a chance to reach out to people and build lasting, meaningful relationships, which to me is really the most important part about leading a life worth living!
