Our Vision:

InterVarsity at Stanford is passionate about Jesus and his purposes in the world around us. We want to be community of people that are individually and corporately experiencing transformation and new life through Jesus. As we experience healing and renewal, we want to be a community that is then sent out to bring the good news of Jesus to others around us. Our hope is to be agents of change on campus and see others experience the transforming love of Jesus for themselves.
Transformed Community.
We want to see our community transformed by Jesus. The focus of our vision is not on our efforts, as we recognize anyone can try to transform a community. Instead we are focused on the end goal, only attainable through Jesus--a community transformed by Him. |
Changed Campus.
We believe that God loves us and blesses us so that we can go and love and bless the world. We desire to see the Stanford campus changed by the new life and good news that Jesus offers every one of us, as we step out in faith to love and serve the students around us and the university as a whole. |
New Life.
Jesus promises us that if anyone is in Christ, the old has gone and the new has come! We desire for our community to be transformed and our campus changed as a result of this new life that Jesus promises. We desire to actively pursue this new life in all of its fullness. |
Good News of Jesus.
The first three components of our vision are made possible because of the Good News of Jesus--that He has died on our behalf so that we may be reconciled to God, and that He invites us to take part in His Kingdom moving forward. This is our foundation, our roots, so to speak. We desire for this to continually be at the core of everything we do. |
In accordance with our vision our hope is:
